Great review, I love mine too!

Javier Sotelo says:

Dan great review. I need to try the Brio out! I usually use scissors or a Wahl beard trimmer right now.

Leo Sigman says:

Excellent description of your use and experience. Interesting you use the highest of 5 speeds. When I use trimmers I use the lowest of the 2 speeds (the other is “Turbo”) of an old Norelco that “vacuums”, or the single speed of a Wahl Cordless Detailer with T-Shaped cutters. Or I may use barber shears, depending. If I’m not sure how to get from what I see to what I want, my barber does it while I watch and (hopefully) learn.

Scott the ginger beard man Michaud says:

I have to keep a clean neck and jaw line do I use a single blade straight razor for that. As for my trimmer I use so cheaper electric trimmer I had gotten at Walmart a while back. It’s older and probably isn’t as good of a trimmer as I need, but I haven’t put the money towards a good trimmer like I want to yet :/ when I decide to just do and get a good trimmer finally I’ve heard a ton about the brio beardscape and that’s definitely what I will get.

Brian Icu says:

I use these on my hair as well

Dead SouL 73 Dan F says:

This is a tool I am looking forward to getting just haven’t yet

Funny story: I got my brio Beardscapein the mail 2 days before you posted this video

Zachary Martin says:

Someone’s already done it…

E-Rock says:

I let my barber trim it down every 4 months and I trim with Andis on the ones that stick out or I use scissors. The Brio looks nice but to me they do the same job. Just saying. Thanks again for another great video.

Steven B says:

I dont trim very often. Still going for some good length and trying to stay away from the trimming for that. When I do want to clean up the ends though, i have a small conair trimmer that has always worked great for me and then the original badass beard care scissors from 3 or 4 years ago. The scissors are very small and I dont really like them that much, but they get the job done. I would like to upgrade to the new scissors that BABC has now, but like i said, not a lot of trimming here right now. I would love to try the brio eventually too. Scuba was the first one a heard about these from and they have interested me ever since.
Thanks for the video man. Have a great day.

Gunnar Meyer says:

I always uses scissors when trimming my beard. I feel like I have the most control and I won’t cut too much at once. That said, I (unprofessionally) cut quite a bit of hair and I always use the lower blade speed for that. I’ve never come across hair that was thick enough to slow down my clippers and the lower speed keeps them from getting too hot. I could definitely see the higher speed being needed if I was trying to mow through a thick beard. The heat wouldn’t be an issue because it would be off the face a bit at well. The higher speed would probably mean you’d have to take less passes with the clippers as well. Less passes=less chance for error.

Steve James says:

How long are the guards that come with the Brio? I used to use the cheap Norelco-type trimmers, then bought a Wahl Peanut trimmer. It was great until I started growing it out. The longest guard for a Peanut is 4 (1/2 inch, I think). I want to grow out gradually and don’t want to be a Wooly Willy. But I don’t want to go to the barber every two weeks, either.

No BS Beard Reviews says:

Do you feel like these would be good for weekly buzz cuts or stick to a regular set of trimmers meant for the head?

Dylan Boudreaux says:

Haven’t even touched my beard with anything yet. The grow never stops (2 1/2 month beard life dawg)

Ryan Neese says:

Thanks for the review. Tried out multiple trimmers in the past for buzzing my head. I typically like plug in clippers for the power and I have found they last longer. Now I use a Remington from Walmart. Price is right and it cuts longer stubble a bit better than Wahls. Wahls do give a closer shave. Mainly use scissors for the beard these days and a safety razor for my head and neck.

Bearded Motivation says:

I definitely used to trim my own beard. I had issues twice with the blade part of the Brio. I first had it fall off when I was in the middle of a beard trim. Sent it back to get another. When the other arrived, I was excited. When it happened a second time I was so upset. It wasn’t that the Brios didn’t cut well when they worked, but the quality of the blades on the Brio. Just was frustrated and sent it back for a refund. Was so upset about it cause the cut was great but the quality wasn’t there for the money. I hope everyone else has better luck than I. I ended up buying the Wahl Majic cordless 5 star clippers. Just a total different quality. When I see the Brios I still get bummed out cause I wanted them to be better than what I got. Great review and I’m glad they work well for you!!

JESSE Moreira says:

Great video as always Dan! Thanx!

RJ Felix says:

I use the Wahl detailers and a straight razor but I’m looking into the brio. Thanks for the review on these.

danterwilliger says:

Love the Brio! I own 2 of these! Does work great to cut regular head hair to guys! My wife uses the other set to groom our dogs and they are the best!

Ronny C says:

It is a really good trimmer. I can trim my whole beard and the Brio will still be cool to the touch, my Andis T-outliner gets so hot within mins I can barely finish a trim. My Andis cuts way better though, IMO

MrBigbear4172001 says:

I use scissors on the stache, I have a set of wahl clippers, and andis clippers. My shop does all there chrome and nickel plating. However I’m wanting a set of brios bad

Joey James says:

Got mine 12 months ago, after hearing Scuba’s review. I’ve only needed to charge it once so far. Use it for my beard trims and to buzz the hair before shaving my head. Fantastic piece of equipment. I’m in Toronto Canada and it only cost me $50 CDN from Amazon. Didn’t get the travel case, but I didn’t need it anyway. Great review!
